Overview

WiiM Ultra, WiiM Amp Pro, and WiiM Amp Ultra support Dolby Digital Audio, making them ideal as the hub device for your surround sound system. Connect the hub to your TV via HDMI ARC and pair it with other WiiM devices to enjoy an immersive and cinematic experience.

These hub devices now feature the “Add Surrounds” setting, which simplifies setup. With the visual interface, you can assign Surround Left (SL) and Surround Right (SR) speakers in just a few taps.

Compatible SL and SR Speakers

  • Option 1: Two WiiM Sound (Lite) speakers

  • Option 2: One WiiM streamer or streaming amplifier

Add Surrounds: Setup Instructions

Steps:


  1. Open the WiiM Home app.
  2. Go to Devices > your hub device’s Device Settings > Add Surrounds.
  3. Tap Add Surround Speakers to start the setup. 
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to select SL and SR speakers, then name the surround sound system.
    ★ Tip:
    • Choose either two WiiM Sound/Sound Lite speakers or one WiiM streamer/streaming amplifier.

    • Tap the volume icon next to each surround speaker to confirm you've selected the correct speaker.
  5. Tap Done to complete the setup. 

Start Surround Playback

After you add surrounds, play audio on the hub device and you’ll hear it through the entire surround sound system (including the SL and SR speakers). 

For example, you can connect the hub device to your TV via HDMI ARC and play Dolby Digital 5.1 content to enjoy an immersive surround experience.

ℹ️Note:
  • If you use a subwoofer, connect it to Sub Out for deeper bass.

Manage the Surround Sound System

Once your surround sound system is created, you can manage it anytime—for example, rename it or remove it. 

Go to Devices > your hub device’s Device Settings > Manage Surrounds.
