The WiiM Ultra features a built-in desktop headphone amplifier, allowing you to enjoy high-quality audio directly through your wired headphones. This article will guide you on how to use wired headphones with your WiiM Ultra.
Headphone Output Specifications
WiiM Ultra's headphone output supports a wide range of headphones. Below are the output power ratings under different headphone loads:
- 150 mW @ 32 Ω – ideal for most consumer headphones
- 6 mW @ 300 Ω – suitable for high-impedance studio headphones
Before You Begin
- Make sure your WiiM Ultra is set up.
- Prepare a wired headphone with a 3.5 mm plug.
Connect Your Headphone
Plug the wired headphone into the Headphone Out port on your WiiM Ultra.
Set Your WiiM Ultra's Output to Headphone
Option 1: From Now Playing in WiiM Home App
- Go to Now Playing in the WiiM Home app.
- Tap the
icon at the bottom, then select Headphone Out from the list.
Option 2: From Device Settings in WiiM Home App
- Open the WiiM Home app on your mobile device.
Go to the Devices tab and tap the Device Settings
icon.
Select Audio Output and choose Headphone Out from the list.
Option 3: From WiiM Ultra's Screen
Tap Output on your WiiM Ultra's screen, then choose Headphone.
Play Music
Now, play music on your WiiM Ultra, and you will hear it through your headphones.
Adjust Headphone Out Level
Additionally, you can adjust the headphone output level in the WiiM Home app under Audio Output settings to optimize sound quality
- Increase the level if the headphone volume is too low.
- Decrease the level if you hear noise or distortion.
