To stream music via Bluetooth from your mobile device (e.g., smartphone or tablet) to your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro, you need to pair your mobile device with the WiiM device first. This tutorial will guide you through the steps for Bluetooth pairing.

Pair Mobile Device with WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro


Step 1: Initiate Bluetooth Pairing Mode on WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro


There are multiple ways to initiate Bluetooth pairing on your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro. Choose the option that best suits your preference and convenience.


Option 1: Switch to Bluetooth Input


When using this option, the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro will first search for any paired mobile devices. If no device is paired or if the paired device is not found, it will enter Bluetooth pairing mode.


When the WiiM Amp enters Bluetooth pairing mode, its LED indicator will start flashing slowly in green.

When the WiiM Amp Pro enters Bluetooth pairing mode, its LED indicator will start flashing slowly in blue.


For Bluetooth re-pairing with a new mobile device, please turn off Bluetooth on the old mobile device before switching to the Bluetooth input.


Choose one of the method to switch to Bluetooth input:

  • Method 1: Open the WiiM Home app and select Bluetooth input in Browse tap.
  • Method 2: Press the Input Selection buttonon the WiiM Voice Remote.


Option 2: Press and Hold the Play Buttonon the WiiM Voice Remote for 3 Seconds.


When the WiiM Amp enters Bluetooth pairing mode, its LED indicator will start flashing slowly in green.

When the WiiM Amp Pro enters Bluetooth pairing mode, its LED indicator will start flashing slowly in blue.


Step 2: Complete Pairing on Your Mobile Device


  1. Go to Settings on your mobile device and turn on Bluetooth. You mobile device starts to search for available Bluetooth device
  2. When your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro appears in the device list, select it to complete the pairing process. 



Once successfully paired using Option 1, the WiiM Amp's LED indicator will turn solid green.

Once successfully paired using Option 1, the WiiM Amp Pro's LED indicator will turn solid blue.

Disconnect WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro from Mobile Device


To disconnect the current Bluetooth connection, select one of the following options.


Option 1: Disconnect by Switching to an Input Other than Bluetooth or Wi-Fi


You can select an input other than Bluetooth and Wi-Fi via one of the following methods:

  • Method 1: Open the WiiM Home app and select an input other in Browse tap.
      
  • Method 2: Press the Input Selection buttonon the WiiM Voice Remote to select an input.


Option 2: Disconnect from Mobile Device


  1. Go to the Bluetooth setting on your mobile device.

  2. Tap theicon next to the connected WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro.
  3. Tap Disconnect to close the Bluetooth connection with your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro. Your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro will appear as Not Connected on the mobile device.

Reconnect WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro to Mobile Device


To reconnect your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro to the paired mobile device, select one of the following options.


Option 1: Reconnect by Switching Back to Bluetooth Input


Choose one of the following methods to switch back to Bluetooth input:

  • Method 1: Open the WiiM Home app and select Bluetooth input in Browse tap.
      
  • Method 2: Press the Input Selection buttonon the WiiM Voice Remote.


Once switched, your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro will automatically reconnect to the paired mobile device.



Option 2: Reconnect from Mobile Device


  1. Go to the Bluetooth setting on your mobile device.

  2. Tap your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro to reconnect via Bluetooth.
