To stream music via Bluetooth from your mobile device (e.g., smartphone or tablet) to your WiiM Ultra, you need to pair your mobile device with the WiiM device first. This tutorial will guide you through the steps for Bluetooth pairing.

Pair Mobile Device with WiiM Ultra

Step 1: Initiate Bluetooth Pairing Mode on WiiM Ultra

There are several ways to initiate Bluetooth pairing on your WiiM Ultra. Choose the option that best suits your preference and convenience.

Option 1: Switch to Bluetooth Input

When using this option, the WiiM Ultra will first search for any paired mobile devices. If no device is paired or if the paired device is not found, it will enter Bluetooth pairing mode.

For Bluetooth re-pairing with a new mobile device, please turn off Bluetooth on the old mobile device before switching to the Bluetooth input.

Choose one of the method to switch to Bluetooth input:

  • Method 1Open the WiiM Home app and select Bluetooth input in Browse tap.

  • Method 2Tap Input in your WiiM Ultra's screen and select Bluetooth input.

  • Method 3: Press the Input Selection buttonon the WiiM Voice Remote.

When using this option to initiate the Bluetooth pairing mode, the WiiM Ultra's LED indicator will start flashing slowly in green, and a prompt, similar to the one below, will appear on the WiiM Ultra's screen.

Option 2: Press the Play Buttonon the WiiM Voice Remote for 3 Seconds.

When using this option to initiate the Bluetooth pairing mode, you will see the WiiM Ultra's LED indicator flashing slowly in green.

Option 3: Press Volume Knob on the WiiM Ultra for 3 Seconds

This option initiates both Wi-Fi setup and Bluetooth pairing mode on the WiiM Ultra.

This option is not recommended as it will disconnect the existing Wi-Fi connection.

Step 2: Complete Pairing on Your Mobile Device

  1. Go to Settings on your mobile device and turn on Bluetooth. Your mobile device starts to search for available Bluetooth device.
  2. When your WiiM Ultra appears in the device list, select it to complete the pairing process.

  3. Once paired successfully, the WiiM Ultra's LED indicator will turn solid green, and a prompt, similar to the one below, will appear on its screen, depending on the way to initiate Bluetooth pairing mode on the WiiM Ultra.

The LED indicator turns solid green only if Bluetooth pairing mode is initiated using Option 1.

The prompt on the WiiM Ultra's screen will appear only if Bluetooth pairing mode is initiated using Option 1 or Option 3.
