The WiiM's Room Correction feature improves your listening experience by adjusting the audio output to match your room's acoustics. The feature has now been enhanced to support the import of a calibration file for an external microphone. This calibration file helps the WiiM Home app correct frequency variations, resulting in a more accurate sound profile.

How to Import an Microphone Calibration File



Before You Begin


  • Prepare an external microphone.

  • Prepare the calibration file for the external microphone and save it in your smartphone or tablet.

    The calibration file is typically a text or CSV file containing frequency response data, which the WiiM Home app uses for accurate measurements. It is usually provided by the manufacturer. If you don't have the file, visit the manufacturer's website or contact their support team.


Steps to Import an Microphone Calibration File


  1. Plug the external microphone to your smartphone or tablet.

  2. Open the WiiM Home app on your smartphone or tablet.

  3. Navigate to the Devices tab and tap the Devices Setttings iconof your WiiM device.

  4. Select Room Correction.

  5. Tap the Room Correction Settings iconin the top-right corner.

  6. In the External Microphone section, tap External Mic Calibration.

  7. Tap Add Calibration File to select and add a calibration file.

    You can also tap theicon to add a note for the file, view the file details, or delete the file to import a different calibration file.
