This tutorial will help you resolve common issues you may encounter when using Plex with your WiiM device.

Issue 1: Plex Media Server on Other Network

Issue Description

Plex Media Server is shown as being on a different network when attempting to select a music library. 

Resolution

Ensure that your WiiM device, WiiM Home App, and Plex Media Server are connected to the same network.

Note: WiiM Home App cannot access Plex Media Server on a different network even if Plex Media Server supports external access.

Issue 2: Plex Media Server Unavailable

Issue Description

Plex Media Server is shown as unavailable when attempting to select a music library.

Resolution

Restart Plex Media Server and try again.

Further Steps

If the issue persists, try these additional steps:

1. Restart the device where Plex Media Server is running. 
2. Start Plex Media Server.
