If you're unable to connect to Plex Media Server using WiiM Home App, follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue.


First Steps

Try the following steps first to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. 


Check Network Connection is Right

Ensure that your WiiM device, WiiM Home App, and Plex Media Server are all connected to the same network.

Note: WiiM Home App cannot access Plex Media Server on a different network even if Plex Media Server supports external access.


Check Plex Media Server is functioning correctly

Use Plexamp or Plex App to connect to Plex Media Server and play a music track. If playback works on Plexamp or Plex App, Plex Media Server is operating properly. 



Next Steps

If the problem persists, try the following steps further:

  • Restart Plex Media Server.
  • Restart the device where Plex Media Server is running, and then start Plex Media Server again.
