Setting a static IP address for your WiiM device through the WiiM Home app enhances device discovery reliability, stabilizes hosting, prevents downtime from IP renewal, and aids in network troubleshooting.
Follow these steps to configure a static IP:
1. Open the WiiM Home app on your smartphone or tablet.
2. In the app, access your device settings and proceed to the 'Network Status' section.
3. Select 'Configure IP', then opt for 'Manual' to initiate setting a static IP for your WiiM device.
4. Enter a valid IP address and DNS Server information specific to your device.
5. To finalize, click the 'Save' button located at the top-right corner of the screen.
If you need to switch the Access Point (AP) for your WiiM device, we recommend the following steps: Open the WiiM Home app, go to the 'Device' tab, tap on the Gear icon, select 'Network Status', and then choose 'AP MAC' to switch to another access point.

*Important Note:
1. For a seamless connection, ensure your WiiM device and mobile phone are on the same network. This requires the router and subnet mask settings on your WiiM device to match those on your phone.
2. If your device is already configured with a static IP address but the app is unable to detect it, reset your device to its factory settings by pressing and holding the Play/Pause button for over 10 seconds. After the reset, you can set up your device anew.
