The WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro is a compact device designed to stream and amplify high-quality audio from various sources to your audio system. This tutorial will walk you through the step-by-step setup guide to get your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro up and running.

What You'll Need


  • A WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro device

  • A pair of passive speakers

  • A smartphone or tablet

  • Wi-Fi connection

  • (Optional) Ethernet connection

  • (Optional) A powered subwoofer

  • (Optional) Other audio input devices you want to connect to the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro

Step-by-Step Setup Guide


1. Unbox the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro


Open the box, and you'll find the following items inside.


2. Connect the Audio Output of the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro



3. Connect the Audio Input of the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro (Optional)


Optionally, connect the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro to an audio input source (e.g., CD player, PC or TV) via Line In, Optical In, or HDMI ARC.

4. Power on the Devices


  • Connect the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro to a power source using the provided power cable.

  • If you connect a subwoofer and an audio input device to the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro, connect them to a power source and power them on.


5. Download the WiiM Home App


Use your smartphone or tablet to scan the following QR code to download the WiiM Home app. The app will be used to set up and control your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro.


6. Set Up the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro through the WiiM Home App


  1. Open the WiiM Home app on your smartphone or tablet.

  2. When your device appears in the app, tap Set Up to start the process.
     
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process. During setup, you'll connect the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro to the Wi-Fi network, check for firmware updates, and pair the WiiM Voice Remote.

7. Play Music


Now, stream music to the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro from the WiiM Home app or your favorite services — Spotify, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Deezer, Qobuz, and more. Or simply play from a connected audio input device. Enjoy your music with breathtaking clarity, depth, and power.  

Tips


  • Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure your Wi-Fi signal is strong in the location where you set up the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro for a stable streaming experience.
     
  • Ethernet Connection (Optional): For added stability, you can connect the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro to your network with an Ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi.
      
  • Device Not Connecting: If the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro is not connecting to your Wi-Fi, try restarting your router and the WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro.  For details, see Troubleshooting: How to Resolve Wi-Fi Connection Issues During WiiM Setup.
