Creating a speaker group using Google Cast is a fantastic way to amplify your audio experience. Before diving into the setup process, ensure that your mobile device and WiiM device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network for seamless device integration.

Google Cast groups support only network audio input and cannot transmit audio from other inputs (e.g., Line In, Optical In, HDMI ARC, or Bluetooth) to devices in the group over Wi-Fi. In contrast, WiiM groups created in the WiiM Home app support all these audio inputs.

Before You Begin

Before adding WiiM devices to a Google Cast speaker group, make sure that they are assigned to any room in the Google Home app.

For detailed instructions, see How to Add a WiiM Device to a Room in the Google Home App.
