Overview
Adding your WiiM device to a specific room via the Google Home app is a simple process. This setup is essential for organizing your devices and creating a more integrated smart home experience.
Note: WiiM Mini is not compatible with Google Home.
Before You Begin
- Ensure that both your mobile device running the Google Home app and your WiiM device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure Google Cast is enabled. You can enable it from the Browse tab.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Open the Google Home app on your mobile device and log in to your Google account.
- Tap the All devices icon
to show your WiiM devices.
- Select your device under the Local devices section, then tap Add to a room to start the setup.
Note: If the Add to a room option is unavailable at this step, see Troubleshooting: Unable to Add a WiiM Device to a Room Using Google Home on iOS. - Select an existing room or create a new room for your WiiM device, and then tap Next.
- Once setup is complete, your WiiM device will appear in the selected room.
