Windows Media Player lets you stream music to your WiiM device directly from Windows Media Player on your PC.


First, you must allow "media streaming" from your computer to stream tracks from Windows Media Player to WiiM. The steps are:


  1. Open Windows Media Player on your PC.
  2. From the menu bar at the top-left, click Stream >Turn on media streaming…
  3. Follow the prompts to share your Windows Media library over your local network.


Or, you can enable the DLNA media server on your PC from the control panel with the following steps:


1. To make sure that the DLNA services that are built into the windows are activated, please make sure that the path Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Media streaming services is followed to get going:

2. The media streaming service is then turned on:

3. The streaming settings within the Windows media player embedded are to be customized to make sure  the streaming operations are started:

Once you've turned on media streaming, you can play tracks directly to your WiiM devices from Windows Media Player. You can do this by right-clicking on the track, artist, or album, then choosing Cast to Device.


You can also browse and control your shared Windows Media library in the WiiM Home App by selecting the Browse tab > Home Media Server. You can use your mobile device to choose the tracks on your PC to play.
