This article explains how to clean and take care of your WiiM Sound or WiiM Sound Lite.
Important Note
To prevent permanent damage to your WiiM Sound or WiiM Sound Lite, DO NOT use the following:
- Compressed Air: High-pressure air can damage the internal speaker drivers.
- Harsh Chemicals: Avoid bleach, solvents, or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the fabric or glass.
- Excessive Liquid: Never submerge the device or spray liquids directly onto the mesh.
Clean Your WiiM Sound or WiiM Sound Lite
Clean the Top-Panel
Use a soft and dry cloth to clean the top-panel glass. If necessary, clean with a damp cloth.
You can also use a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe, 75% ethyl alcohol wipe, or Clorox Disinfecting Wipes to gently wipe the top surface.
Note: Avoid getting any liquid into the gaps around the edge of the glass.
Clean the Fabric Mesh
Use a soft brush (like a clean toothbrush) to gently flick dust out of the fabric.
For stubborn stains (usually visible on white WiiM Sound), dip a soft brush in a small amount of mild cleaner, then scrub gently without wetting the internal components. Immediately blot (press down) with a dry cloth to lift any moisture. Allow the device to air dry before use.
Clean the Base
Use a dry cloth to clean the base. If the silicone base leaves a mark on wooden furniture, simply wipe the furniture with a soft damp cloth.
Note: These marks are normal and often disappear a few days after the speaker is removed. If you are concerned about this, please place the device on a non-wooden surface.
Placement Tips
- Solid Surface: WiiM Sound and WiiM Sound Lite speakers are designed for indoor use only. Always place them on a flat, stable indoor surface.
- Keep it Dry: Keep the device away from drinks, sinks, or any areas where water might splash.
- Avoid Heat: Do not place the speaker near heat sources or open flames like candles.
