The WiiM Sub Pro supports built-in RoomFitTM Room Correction to optimize bass performance according to your room's acoustics. This article will guide you through the Room Correction process.
What's RoomFitTM Room Correction
RoomFit™ Room Correction improves bass performance by compensating for your room’s acoustics. It fine-tunes the WiiM Sub Pro’s output using advanced audio processing to reduce boomy, muddy, or uneven bass caused by reflections, furniture, and placement. The result is tighter, clearer, and more balanced bass throughout your listening space.
Before You Begin
1. Room and Device Preparations
- Ensure your WiiM Sub Pro is properly placed and set up. For details, refer to How to Set Up Your WiiM Sub Pro and A Practical Guide to Room Correction for Enhanced Sound Quality.
- Avoid obstructions around the WiiM Sub Pro.
- Set your WiiM Sub Pro's volume to a moderate level.
- Close doors and windows.
- Keep the room as quiet as possible.
2. Configure Room Correction Parameters

Go to the RoomFitTM Settings page in the WiiM Home app and configure these parameters based on your preference:
- Target Curve: Defines the target frequency response that your WiiM Sub Pro tries to match after Room Correction. Choose the desired frequency response curve from B&K, Harman, Flat before Room Correction.
- Smoothing: Reduces minor fluctuations in the frequency response to help focus on overall trends and prevent overcompensation. You can choose a value from the following ones:
- 1/3 Octave Smoothing: Balances detail with overall trends.
- 1/6 Octave Smoothing: Retains more detail while maintaining readability.
- 1/12 Octave Smoothing: Provides highly detailed adjustments for fine-tuning specific areas.
For a configuration guide, refer to A Practical Guide to Room Correction for Enhanced Sound Quality.
Other parameter settings as below are fixed and cannot be changed:
- Freq: 30.0 to 110.0HZ
- Max Gain: 5.0 dB
- Min Gain: -5.0 dB
- Max Q: 5.0
- Cut-Only Mode: On (Let you lower frequencies, reducing room resonances and unwanted responses for a more balanced sound.)

- Gray curve (Raw): The measured frequency response of your speakers and room before RoomFit™.
- Pink curve (Equalization): The EQ adjustments that RoomFit™ makes to correct the variations.
