Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Connect the External Microphone

    Plug your external microphone into your smartphone or tablet, usually via USB or headphone jack.

  2. Launch the WiiM Home App

    Open the WiiM Home app on your smartphone or tablet.

  3. Import the Calibration File (if available)

    If your microphone has a calibration file, download it from the manufacturer's website and save it on your device. Then, follow the instructions in Tutorial: Microphone Calibration File Import in WiiM Home to import the calibration file to the WiiM Home app.

  4. Run the RoomFit™ Process

    Go to Devices > Device Settings > RoomFit™ in the WiiM Home app, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. The app will guide you through the steps to measure your room's acoustics using the connected microphone.

Note: During the RoomFit™ process, follow these instructions:

  • ALWAYS hold the phone as far away from your body as possible.
  • ALWAYS point the external microphone towards the speaker you are currently measuring.
  • ALWAYS avoid obstructions between the external microphone and the speaker.
  • ALWAYS place the external microphone at ear level (if you sit while listening, use the height of your ears when seated).
