If your subwoofer isn't producing sound when connected to a WiiM device (WiiM Ultra, WiiM Amp Pro, or WiiM Amp), follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

1. Check the Power Supply on Subwoofer

Ensure that your subwoofer is powered on.

2. Check the Input Settings on Subwoofer

If your subwoofer has both high-level and low-level input options. Make sure to select the high-level input.

3. Check the Cable

Ensure that you use a RCA-to-RCA cable with a 75-ohm impedance to connect your subwoofer to your WiiM device.

4. Check the Connection Ports

  • Ensure that one end of the RCA cable is connected to the Sub Out port on your WiiM device.

  • Ensure that the other end of the RCA is connected to the LFE or Mono port on your Subwoofer.

5. Check the Volume Levels

Check the volume levels on both the WiiM device and the subwoofer. The subwoofer’s volume can be controlled in two places: through the WiiM device (using the WiiM Home app) and directly on the subwoofer itself. Make sure the volume levels in both places are set to an audible level.

If the volume on the subwoofer is set too low, it may not produce sound, even if the WiiM device volume is set correctly.

6. Check the Subwoofer Settings in WiiM Home App

  1. Open the WiiM Home app on your mobile device.

  2. Go to the Devices tab and tap Device Settings icon on your WiiM device.

  3. Select Subwoofer.

  4. Ensure that Sub Output is enabled.

  5. Enable Subwoofer Bypass Mode at the bottom of the Subwoofer page to check if the subwoofer produces sound.

7. Reset Your WiiM Device

To reset your WiiM device (WiiM Ultra, WiiM Amp, WiiM Amp Pro), press and hold the Volume Knob on your WiiM device for 10 seconds until you hear the voice prompt “Restore to factory settings” and see the LED indicator flashing red and white.

After the reset, set up your WiiM device again and then play music to verify if the subwoofer is producing sound now.

Resetting will clear all settings and restore your WiiM device to its original factory settings.
