Room correction is designed to optimize your audio experience by tailoring sound output to your room’s unique characteristics. However, several issues can arise during the process. This article outlines common errors encountered during room correction and help you resolve them.
1. Loud Background Noise
Issue Description
The Room Correction process fails if the background noise is too loud.
When this issue occurs, the WiiM Home app will display the following message:
Solution
It is important to keep noise to a minimum during the process. Use the following tips to minimize the background noise:
- Avoid talking and be conscious of making loud noises while walking around the room during the process.
- lf possible, temporarily shut off appliances like fans and air-conditioners that produce background noise.
2. AirPlay Interference on iOS Devices
Issue Description
When using an iOS device to perform the room correction process, the process can fail if the iOS device is simultaneously streaming content to another device via AirPlay.
When this issue occurs, the WiiM Home app will display the following message:
Solution
Disable AirPlay on your iOS device, then try the room correction process again.
3. Unable to Communicate with WiiM Device
Issue Description
The Room Correction process fails if the WiiM Home app cannot communicate with your WiiM device during the process.
When this issue occurs, the WiiM Home app will display the following message:

- Try to troubleshoot the issues by following the instructions in Advanced Troubleshooting to Find Your Device.
- If the issue persistent, contact WiiM Support for further assisstance.
4. Too High Speaker Volume
Issue Description
The Room Correction process fails if the speaker volume is too high.
When this issue occurs, the WiiM Home app will display the following message:

Adjust your speaker volume to a moderate level. This ensures a balanced sound profile will be recorded.
5. Miscellaneous Mobile Device Issues
Issue Description
The Room Correction process can fail due to miscellaneous mobile device issues, such as low storage or system failure.
When this issue occurs, the WiiM Home app will display the following message:
Solution
- Check Mobile Device's Storage: Ensure that your mobile device has sufficient free space.
- Restart Your Mobile Device: Restart your mobile device, then try the room correction process again.
