When turning on the TV

The WiiM device can be configured to automatically switches to the HDMI ARC mode and serves as the TV's audio output. For details, see Automatically Output Audio to WiiM When TV is On.

When turning off the TV, while the WiiM device is in HDMI ARC mode  The WiiM device will enter standby mode after a short delay.  
Switching the WiiM device from HDMI ARC mode to another mode

The WiiM device will not act as the TV's audio output and the TV will revert to using its built-in speakers for audio output.

The WiiM device will act as the TV's audio output, with the TV routing its sound through the WiiM device.

Automatically Output Audio to WiiM When TV is On


The WiiM provides a configuration option called 'Automatically output audio to WiiM when TV is on'. This option allows you to enable or disable the automatic switch of the WiiM device to HDMI ARC mode when the TV is powered on.

Configuration Instructions


Follow these steps to configure the 'Automatically output audio to WiiM when TV is on' option:


1. Open the WiiM Home app.

2. Go to the Devices tab and tap the Device Settings iconfor your WiiM device.

3. Select Audio Input Settings.

4. Toggle on or off the 'Automatically output audio to WiiM when TV is on' option based on your preference.
