Overview

The WiiM Amp, WiiM Amp Pro and WiiM Ultra feature Sub Out, allowing you to connect to an active subwoofer. By default, these WiiM devices output audio below the crossover frequency to the subwoofer and the audio above the crossover frequency to the main speakers.

To provide greater flexibility, WiiM also offers two advanced subwoofer settings as follows:

  • Subwoofer Bypass Mode
  • Main Speakers Output Bass

These settings let you further adjust how audio is sent to the subwoofer and main speakers and help optimize system performance based on your listening environment and preferences.

Subwoofer Bypass Mode

When enabled, this option sends full-range frequency audio to the subwoofer, providing deeper and richer bass.

You can enable this option based on your listening environment and personal preferences. If your subwoofer does not produce sound, try enabling this setting to troubleshoot the issue.

Main Speakers Output Bass

When enabled, this option sends full-range frequency audio to the main speakers, ensuring that all frequency ranges are well represented and enhancing the overall fullness of your music.

If your main speakers have strong bass performance, try enabling this setting for a deeper sound.

Impact of Advanced Options on Output Frequencies

The combination of these two options affects how your subwoofer and main speakers output audio frequencies. The table below explains the output behavior for each configuration.
