This tutorial introduces two subwoofer advanced options for optimizing the audio experience with the Subwoofer and main speakers:

  • Subwoofer Bypass Mode
  • Main Speakers Output Bass

To use these options, make sure the Sub Output is activated on the WiiM device, and that your device is WiiM Amp, WiiM Amp Pro or WiiM Ultra.

By default, the WiiM device outpus the audio at the crossover frequency to the subwoofer and the audio above the crossover frequency to the main speakers.

However, these options allow you to fine-tune your WiiM device's audio frequency output to your subwoofer and main speakers, ensuring that both the subwoofer and main speakers perform at their best according to your preferences and listening environment.

Subwoofer Bypass Mode

When enabled, this option sends full-range frequency audio to the subwoofer, providing deeper and richer bass.

You can enable this option based on your listening environment and personal preferences.

Main Speakers Output Bass

When enabled, this option sends full-range frequency audio to the main speakers, ensuring that all frequency ranges are well represented and enhancing the overall fullness of your music.

You can enable this option to enjoy rich sound quality.

Impact of Advanced Options on Output Frequencies

The combination of these two options affects how your subwoofer and main speakers output audio frequencies. The table below explains the output behavior for each configuration.
