When you get a new router, you can use one of the following methods to connect your WiiM device to the new network.
Method 1: Use the “Change Wi-Fi” Option in WiiM Home
If your WiiM device is still connected to your old network and you want to switch it to the new one, tap Change in the Network Status to quickly connect to your new Wi-Fi network. For details, see How to Use the Quick Network Switch Feature in WiiM Home App.
Method 2: Re-setup WiiM Device
You can use this method at any time to update your network connection, even if your WiiM device is currently offline.
Please have your new Wi-Fi password ready to ensure a smooth and seamless setup process.Follow these steps to re-setup the WiiM device:
- Press and hold the Play/Pause button on your WiiM device for 3 seconds to enter setup mode. You will hear a corresponding voice prompt.
Alternatively, press and hold the Play/Pause button for 10 seconds to reset the WiiM device and start a fresh setup.
- Open the WiiM Home app.
- When your WiiM device appears, tap Set Up to start the setup process.
Troubleshooting: What if my WiiM device does not appear in the WiiM home app?
Go to the Devices tab and tap Add Device in the top-right corner to trigger the setup process.

- Follow on-screen instructions to connect the WiiM device to the new network and complete the setup process.
Method 3: Use an Ethernet Connection
You can simply use an Ethernet cable to connect your WiiM device to the new router. Once connected, the WiiM device will come online instantly without requiring a password.
