The WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro is designed to be on as long as it remains connected to a power source. However, for energy efficiency or other reasons, you may not want it always to be active. If you want to manage the power state of your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro, you can do so in the following ways:

1. Using Standby Mode

  • You can set your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro to go into a low-power standby mode after a period of inactivity. Go to the ‘Device’ tab in the WiiM Home app to do this.
  • Tap on the ‘Gear’ icon to access settings.
  • Select ‘Standby Mode’ and then ‘Set Standby Time’ to choose how long your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro will remain inactive before entering standby mode.

2. Manual Power Off

  • If you prefer, you can manually disconnect your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro from its power source to turn it off. This is a simple method if you don't need your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro to be in a ready-to-use state.
  • Alternatively, you can plug your your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro into a smart outlet that can be controlled with voice/remote/switch. The smart plug has to use less power than your WiiM Amp or WiiM Amp Pro in standby, as they're both likely to be "always on".
