After setting up your Wi-Fi connection, you may need to switch to a different network, such as when you set up a new network at home or have multiple networks available. This tutorial will guide you through the different methods to switch networks.
Method 1: Use Quick Network Switch in WiiM Home App
The WiiM Home app introduces the Quick Network Switch feature, letting you easily switch your WiiM device's Wi-Fi connection through the app, without physically interacting with your WiiM device. For detailed instructions, see How to Use the Quick Network Switch Feature in WiiM Home App.
Method 2: Use Wi-Fi Setup Mode
- Connect your mobile device to the new Wi-Fi network.
- Activate Wi-Fi setup mode by pressing and holding the Play button on your WiiM device for 3 seconds.
Note: When the WiiM device enters Wi-Fi setup mode, the LED indicator on the device will flash white slowly.
Note: Holding the Play button for 10 seconds will reset your device to factory settings, erasing all stored information. - Open the WiiM Home app on your mobile device.
- When the pop-up window appears, tap Set Up to continue.
- Follow on-screen instructions to set up a new Wi-Fi network and other settings.
Method 3: Switch Between Ethernet and Wi-Fi
- Switch from Wi-Fi to Ethernet
Simply plug an Ethernet cable into your WiiM device. The device will automatically prioritize the wired connection, even if a Wi-Fi connection has already been set up. - Switch from Ethernet to Wi-Fi
Unplug the Ethernet cable, and your WiiM device will automatically revert to the previously configured Wi-Fi network.
