After setting up your Wi-Fi connection, you may need to switch to a different network, such as when you set up a new network at home or have multiple networks available. This tutorial will guide you through the different methods to switch networks.

Method 1: Use Quick Network Switch in WiiM Home App

The WiiM Home app introduces the Quick Network Switch feature, letting you easily switch your WiiM device's Wi-Fi connection through the app, without physically interacting with your WiiM device. For detailed instructions, see How to Use the Quick Network Switch Feature in WiiM Home App.

Method 2: Use Wi-Fi Setup Mode

  1. Connect your mobile device to the new Wi-Fi network.

  2. Activate Wi-Fi setup mode by pressing and holding the Play button on your WiiM device for 3 seconds.

Note: When the WiiM device enters Wi-Fi setup mode, the LED indicator on the device will flash white slowly.

Note: Holding the Play button for 10 seconds will reset your device to factory settings, erasing all stored information.

  3. Open the WiiM Home app on your mobile device.

  4. When the pop-up window appears, tap Set Up to continue.

  5. Follow on-screen instructions to set up a new Wi-Fi network and other settings.

Method 3: Switch Between Ethernet and Wi-Fi

  • Switch from Wi-Fi to Ethernet
Simply plug an Ethernet cable into your WiiM device. The device will automatically prioritize the wired connection, even if a Wi-Fi connection has already been set up.

  • Switch from Ethernet to Wi-Fi
Unplug the Ethernet cable, and your WiiM device will automatically revert to the previously configured Wi-Fi network.

Choose a method that works best for your situation, and enjoy seamless connectivity across different networks.
