Overview
Audio ports such as Aux-In, Line-In, Optical-In or HDMI is audio input available on WiiM Mini, WiiM Pro, WiiM Pro Plus or WiiM Amp that allows you to connect a device with an audio output (such as a CD player, TV, or turntable) to play on your WiiM attached audio system.
Once you’ve connected a device to the audio input port on your WiiM device, you can start playing Aux-In, Line-In, Optical-In or HDMI audio using the WiiM Home App by the following steps:
1. Select the Device tab, tap the device or group that you want to play the input audio
2. Select the Browse tab, go to the bottom, and click the Aux-In, Line-In, SPDIF-In or HDMI
How to enable the Auto-sensing for the input audio?
Enable the Auto-sensing to automatically play the input audio when WiiM device detects a signal is being sent to the audio input port. The device only detects the audio input when nothing is playing on the device or the group, and the device goes to standby mode. To provide the best possible automatic switching experience, please reduce the standby time to 30 seconds instead of the default 2 minutes.
1. Enable the Auto-sensing for the audio input
Select Device tab > Tap the device setting gear icon > Audio Input > Turn on Auto-sensing. It's disabled by default.
2. Change the standby setting
Select Device tab > Tap the device setting gear icon > Standby Mode > Select 30s as the standby waiting period.
*Note:
When the auto-sensing feature is enabled on the WiiM device and it is streaming music from a Wi-Fi source, the feature will be inactive if any of the following inputs - Aux-in, Line-in, Optical-in, or HDMI - are simultaneously playing music. To engage the auto-sense feature and switch to one of these inputs, the current source signal must be paused for a minimum of 17 seconds. Following this pause, a continuous signal from the desired input source for over 3 seconds is required for the device to switch to that input mode.
