Yes, but it depends on how your VPN is configured

For the WiiM Home App to control your device, your phone and your WiiM player must be able to "see" each other on your home network.

Setup 1: VPN on your Router (Recommended)

With the VPN on your router, your phone and WiiM stay on the same local network. They can talk to each other just like normal.

The VPN only protects the data leaving your home, so it doesn't get in the way of your App controlling the device.

Setup 2: VPN App on your Phone/Tablet

A VPN app on your phone usually creates a "tunnel" that isolates the phone from your Wi-Fi. To fix this, you must enable Local Network Access or Split Tunneling in your VPN settings.

If your VPN App doesn't have such a setting, your WiiM will likely "disappear" from the WiiM Home App whenever the VPN is on.
