Overview

Many WiiM devices support Apple AirPlay 2, allowing seamless integration with the Apple Home app.

By adding your WiiM device to the Apple Home app, you can enjoy the following benefits:

  • Seamless Voice Control: Control your music hands-free using Siri commands.
  • Smart Home Automation: Automate your audio based on your daily routines, such as automatically playing music when you arrive home or pausing playback when you leave.
  • Custom Scene Integration: Combine your WiiM device with other smart accessories (lights, locks, thermostats) to create mood-based environments—such as a "Relax" scene that dims the lights and plays soothing audio.
  • Centralized Management: Simplify your smart home experience by managing your WiiM devices and other Home accessories within a single app.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the Apple Home app.
  2. Tap the + icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
  3. Select Add or Scan Accessory from the pop-up menu.

  4. Tap More options... (displayed in orange).

  5. Choose your WiiM device from the available list.

  6. Follow the remaining on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Control Your Device with Siri

Once your WiiM device is successfully added to the Apple Home app, you can instantly control playback using Siri voice commands on your iPhone.

Try these examples:

  • "Hey Siri, play jazz in the living room."
  • "Hey Siri, turn off the music in the bedroom."
