The WiiM Sound and WiiM Sound Lite offer the Aux In audio input port. You can connect devices like CD players, TVs, PCs, or turntables, to your WiiM Sound or WiiM Sound Lite via this port for analog audio input.

How to Use the Aux In Port

This example shows how to use the Aux In port to connect a CD player.

Steps:

  1. Plug the 3.5mm connector of the cable into the Aux In port on the WiiM Sound or WiiM Sound Lite.
  2. Plug the other end of the cable into the Aux Out or Line Out port on your audio source (CD player or PC).
  3. Select the source input as Aux In in the WiiM Home app, or enable Auto-sensing of Aux In. For details, see How to Select Audio Input.
  4. Play music on the CD player. The music will stream to your WiiM Sound or WiiM Sound Lite.

Similarly, you can connect other audio devices to your WiiM Sound or WiiM Sound Lite via the Aux In port in the same process.

How to Use the Aux In Port with Multi-room

The WiiM Sound and WiiM Sound Lite support all their audio inputs—Wi-Fi/Ethernet, Bluetooth, and Aux In—as sources for your multi-room system. By connecting an audio source device (e.g., a CD player or TV) to your WiiM Sound or WiiM Sound Lite, you can stream audio to any other WiiM devices on the same network.

For detailed instructions, refer to How to Play WiiM Multi-Room Music from Your CD Player, Turntable, or PC.

How to Select Audio Input

Automatically Select Audio Input Using Auto-Sensing

The auto-sensing feature allows your WiiM Sound and WiiM Sound Lite to automatically play audio from the connected input when a signal is detected.

Steps:

  1. Open the WiiM Home app.
  2. Navigate to the Devices tab.
  3. Tap the Device Settings icon  of your WiiM device.
  4. Select Audio Input and enable Auto-sensing of Aux In.

By enabling auto-sensing, your WiiM Sound and WiiM Sound Lite will automatically switch to the active audio input, offering a seamless and convenient listening experience.

Note: Auto-sensing works only when your WiiM device isn't playing audio from the current input source. For example, if your WiiM device is playing music over Wi-Fi and you start audio on Aux In, it won't automatically switch to that input.

Manually Select Audio Input

You can also manually select the desired audio input on your WiiM Sound or WiiM Sound Lite in the following ways:

  • Method 1: From Audio Input in Device Settings of the WiiM Home app.
  • Method 2: From the Source Input section in the Browse tab of the WiiM Home app.
  • Method 3: Pressing the button on the WiiM Voice Remote 2 Lite.
Note: The WiiM Voice Remote 2 Lite is not included with the WiiM Sound Lite.

Edit Input Sources

To make switching between input sources more convenient, you can manage which sources are visible—keeping your most frequently used inputs easy to access.

For detailed instructions, see Edit Input Sources in the WiiM Home App's Browse Tab.
