TABLE OF CONTENTS
WiiM supports the Sound Profile feature, which allows you to customize playback settings (e.g., multi-room, volume, EQ, and subwoofer) for each input source. When you switch to an input source, the corresponding playback settings you created for that input source will be automatically applied, eliminating the need to manually adjust settings.
For example, you can set a Sound Profile for the HDMI ARC input to automatically enable subwoofer output, apply the Movie EQ, and activate multi-room playback. Each time you switch to HDMI ARC for movie watching, the profile delivers immersive sound with deep bass and cinematic effects throughout your home.
Benefits of Sound Profile
The Sound Profile feature provides the following benefits:
- One-Tap Convenience – Switching to an input automatically applies your preferred settings.
- Consistent Sound – Enjoy the same listening experience every time you use that input.
- Personalization – Assign a unique Sound Profile to each input source to create personalized listening experiences.
Configure a Sound Profile
Follow these steps to configure a Sound Profile:
- Open the WiiM Home app.
- Go to the Browse tab.
- Tap Customize next to Source Input to enter the input source editing page.
- Tap the three dots (···) next to the input source you want to configure.
- Select Sound Profile to edit the settings.
- Edit the Sound Profile settings as needed.
- Device: Choose which device(s) to play on. You can select multiple devices for multi-room playback.
- Volume: Set the volume behavior. You can either follow the current volume or specify a custom volume.
- Sub Output: Enable or disable subwoofer output. Available only on WiiM devices with a Sub Out port (e.g., WiiM Amp, WiiM Amp Pro, WiiM Amp Ultra, and WiiM Ultra).
- Screen: Control whether the device’s screen is turned on. Available only on WiiM devices with a built-in screen (e.g., WiiM Amp Ultra, WiiM Ultra).
- When finished, tap Save in the top-right corner to save the settings. The Sound Profile is now successfully configured for the selected input source.
Automatically Apply a Sound Profile
Once a Sound Profile is created for an input source, switching to that input source automatically applies the defined playback settings. This works regardless of how you switch inputs—using the WiiM Home app, the WiiM Voice Remote, or the device’s built-in screen.
