Set Up WiiM Home TV


Before You Begin


  • Set up a compatible WiiM streamer (e.g., a WiiM Ultra).

  • Set up your Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, and connect it to the same network as the WiiM streamer.


Step-by-Step Instructions


  1. Start playback on your WiiM streamer using your preferred app (e.g., Amazon Music, Spotify, TIDAL).

  2. Download the WiiM Home TV app.

  3. Open the WiiM Home TV app on your Apple TV, Android TV, or Fire TV.

  4. Tap the icon in the bottom-left corner, then select your WiiM streamer from the list.

  5. Once connected, the Now Playing screen will appear on your TV, showing playback information.

Control Playback


 

On the Now Playing screen, you can view detailed playback information, including song title, artist, and album art, and so on. 


The WiiM Home TV app will soon support on-screen lyrics, making your TV music experience even more engaging.


In addition, use the arrow keys on your TV's remote to move between the playback controls on the screen. Once a control is highlighted, press the center button to select it. This allows you to perform the following controls in the WiiM Home TV app:

  • Play or pause the music.
  • Skip to the previous or next track
  • Adjust the volume.
  • View playback queue.

  • Toggle shuffle and repeat modes.

  • Switch between connected WiiM devices.

Adjust Display Mode


You can customize the background of the Now Playing screen to better match your visual preference.


Navigate to Settings > Display Mode in the WiiM Home TV app and choose one of the following options:

  • Color: Uses the main color from the album artwork as the background.

  • Blur: Applies a Gaussian blur effect to the album artwork as the background.
